The Dolphins are gearing up to unveil a powerful left-edge combination in the NRL next season, with Selwyn Cobbo making a strong impression alongside Herbie Farnworth during their pre-season training.
Farnworth has expressed enthusiasm about teaming up with his former Brisbane Broncos teammate, noting that Cobbo has joined the Dolphins in excellent shape and is a strong candidate for the left wing position in 2026.
Throughout the Dolphins' pre-season, Cobbo has caught attention and is set to take his place alongside Farnworth, especially with Jack Bostock out until at least Round 8 due to an ACL recovery.
"I have not, never… He's looking in great shape," Farnworth told AAP when asked if he'd ever seen Cobbo in better condition.
"He would be a straight swap for Jack.
"I'm not too sure how we're going to run out in Round 1, but he'll be filling in there and can fill in a bit at centre as well."
Farnworth admitted he is hopeful to have Cobbo playing by his side in 2026.
