Samuela Fainu, a rising star in the world of Rugby League, recently had the opportunity to join the NSW under 19s camp in July.
This was an exciting chance for Fainu to work under the guidance of former Test and Origin back-rowers Andrew Ryan and Josh Jackson.
With a combined total of 532 NRL games and 21 Blues appearances, Ryan and Jackson were the perfect mentors for the young player.
Despite his initial experience as an edge back-rower, Fainu proved his versatility by captaining his state against the Maroons and excelling in the unfamiliar role of middle forward.
His outstanding performance, which included 110 metres run and four tackle breaks, contributed to NSW's 32-14 victory over Queensland in Redcliffe.
This achievement solidified Fainu's reputation as a promising talent in the Rugby League world.
