A sincere Ezra Mam, who was afraid of getting the boot from Brisbane, is gearing up for potential legal action against him personally after Uber driver Marcel Van Den Camp initiated proceedings against his third-party insurer.

The Broncos five-eighth Mam spoke out for the first time on Thursday since he offered a public apology at a December court appearance for his infamous car crash.

Mam, who had cocaine in his system and was driving without a license, had a head-on collision on October 18 with an Uber-registered vehicle, causing injuries to the driver, a female passenger, and her young daughter.

He was slapped with an $850 fine and was banned from driving for six months.

Mam was also given the boot by the NRL until round 10 and was fined $120,000 collectively by the NRL and Broncos.

Van Den Camp is taking legal action against Mam's third-party insurer to seek compensation for his injuries and loss of income after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

It has been reported that Mam could potentially face his third-party insurer taking legal action against him if it can be proven that the use of cocaine led to the accident and his actions were in violation of his insurance policy.
