In a dramatic turn of events, Ezra Mam is set to reject offers from six NRL rivals and stay with the Brisbane Broncos.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Mam will sign a lucrative four-year deal worth around $3 million to remain at Red Hill.
Mam's rise to superstardom over the last two seasons has been remarkable, and his three blistering tries in the NRL grand final showcased his exceptional talent.
After earning just $250,000 in 2023, Mam's pay rise will be significant in 2025.
This new deal will make Mam one of the highest-paid players in Broncos history and will help secure the team's future amidst salary cap pressure.
The club is also looking to secure the services of gun fullback Reece Walsh, who is likely to earn over $1 million per year on his next contract.
Concerns about the Broncos' ability to retain both young stars have been eased with Kurt Capewell's immediate departure to the Warriors and the pay cuts of veterans Adam Reynolds and Corey Oates.
