England Rugby League completed a clean sweep over Tonga, securing a third consecutive victory against Kristian Woolf's side.

It was an impressive autumn international programme for Shaun Wane's men.

England reserved their best and most polished display of the series for this final Test at Headingley.

The hosts were dominant, with four tries to Tonga's one, highlighting the gap between the two teams.

At half-time, England led 14-0, with tries from Ben Currie and Matty Ashton, along with three goals from Harry Smith.

Smith, named player of the series, has impressed in all three Tests and looks set to be George Williams' long-term half-back partner.

Five minutes into the second half, Elliott Whitehead scored a well-taken try to extend England's advantage.

The highlight of the match came when the play crossed the width of the field, allowing Harry Newman to score on his home ground.

Tonga managed to avoid being nilled when Eliesa Katoa scored in the final ten minutes, but there was no comeback for them.

England reaffirmed their dominance in women's rugby league with a commanding 60-0 victory over Wales.

They scored 11 tries without reply, with Tara-Jane Stanley and Amy Hardcastle leading the way with multiple tries.

England's challenge is to bridge the gap between themselves and Australia and New Zealand.

Some England players have joined the NRLW in Australia, which is seen as a move to strengthen their chances of competing in the next World Cup in 2026.

Regular games against stronger opposition like the Jillaroos would also be beneficial for England.
