Electric Eels extend in shock recruitment power play

The Parramatta Eels have scored a hat-trick of contract extensions, with rising star Charlie Guymer among the players committing their futures to the club.

Despite rumors of a possible departure earlier in the season, Guymer, who cut his teeth as the 2023 SG Ball captain before donning the blue of New South Wales in junior State of Origin clashes, has pledged his allegiance to the blue and gold.

In a bid to bolster their squad after losing some promising youngsters to rival teams, the Eels wasted no time in tying down Guymer's services until the end of 2026, with a guaranteed spot in the Top 30 squad for the final year of his contract.

"Charlie embodies the values and spirit of the Eels, both on and off the field.

His leadership skills are second to none, and we have every confidence that he will shine in the upcoming pre-season and make a significant impact in the NRL next season," remarked Mark O'Neill, the club's football manager.

With uncertainty swirling around the league, the Eels have made a decisive play in securing Guymer's future, ensuring he remains a key player in their game plan for years to come.

The news is sure to excite fans and teammates alike, as the Eels continue to build a winning team for the long haul.
