Eels wait as Broncos say bye to Campbell-Gillard

The Brisbane Broncos have decided to end their pursuit of Reagan Campbell-Gillard, leaving the Parramatta Eels prop still searching for a new club.

Campbell-Gillard was given the green light by the Eels this week after much speculation surrounding his future.

It seems the tough forward had his eye on a move away from the blue and gold after a subpar season by his standards since departing the Penrith Panthers.

Rumors were swirling that Campbell-Gillard was headed for the St George Illawarra Dragons, but negotiations hit a roadblock.

The Dragons were only willing to offer a two-year contract, while the determined player was holding out for a three-year deal.

It seems Campbell-Gillard's future remains uncertain, with the Eels letting him go and other clubs backing out of the race.

Time will tell where the determined forward will end up next, but one thing is for sure - the footy world will be watching closely.
