The Parramatta Eels have released an update regarding player injuries following their recent game against the Panthers.
Matt Doorey has been diagnosed with an ACL tear, confirmed by scans, and will need surgery after the swelling in his knee decreases. Recovery from this injury is expected to take between 9 and 12 months.
Isaiah Iongi is dealing with a syndesmosis injury in his ankle. He will undergo surgery this week, which will result in at least an 8-week recovery period before he can return to play.
