In a historic junior representative grand final day at Leichhardt Oval, the Parramatta Eels achieved significant success, securing two titles while coming close in a third match.
They celebrated their inaugural Lisa Fiaola Cup title with a victory over the Central Coast Roosters and completed the double by winning their first Tarsha Gale Cup premiership against the Roosters Indigenous Academy.
However, they narrowly missed a clean sweep, as the Roosters clinched the SG Ball grand final with two late tries.
The Eels made an impressive start in the SG Ball decider, scoring the opening try just three minutes in.
During this play, the Eels pressured the Roosters inside their quarter.
With the backs lined deep to the left, Temieke Withers deceived defenders with a feigned pass, cutting through for a try behind the posts.
Bailey Ma-Chong successfully converted, giving the Eels an early lead of six points.
Ten minutes later, the Eels continued their offensive momentum.
After strong runs from Cody Tuimaseve, Mere Sivo, and Isabella Bell, they found themselves in a prime attacking position once again.
This time, Withers delivered a cut-out pass to Georgia Wansey, who managed to fend off a last-ditch tackle to score out wide.
The day highlighted the Eels' rise in junior representative rugby, showcasing their competitive spirit and skill in key matches.
