Eels reveal 2024 Indigenous Round Jersey

The Parramatta Eels have proudly unveiled their 2024 Indigenous Round Jersey, a tale of triumph and unity on the field.

Crafted by Indigenous artist and proud Gamilaroi/Wiradjuri man Sean Duncan-Kinchela, in collaboration with Parramatta Eels player J'maine Hopgood, a resilient Gooreng Gooreng man, the design embodies Hopgood's courageous journey to Dharug and Burramattagal - the sacred grounds where the Eels do battle.

At the heart of the Jersey lies an owl, the totem of the Gooreng Gooreng people, symbolizing the spirit of Hopgood on the field.

The striking blue, diagonal pattern etched across the front of the jersey pays homage to the Burramattagal river, known to many as the mighty Parramatta River, a path that Hopgood has bravely traveled.

The arches and peaks adorning the jersey above the river serve as a tribute to the iconic landmarks of Dharug land: the Hills and the Blue Mountains, standing tall and proud just like the Eels on game day.
