The Parramatta Eels have secured the future of rising outside back Araz Nanva by extending his contract for an additional year, which will also see him promoted to the club's Top 30 squad for the 2027 season.
Making his NRL debut in Round 6 this year, the Parramatta junior showcased his skills in the following round, contributing to the team's victory against the Bulldogs as a centre.
Naturally, the extension reflects his impressive pre-season performances and his noteworthy debut.
Mark O'Neill, the GM of Football for the Eels, shared insights about Nanva's contract extension.
"Araz has worked hard during the pre-season with his attitude and performance and bought into the Club culture," he said to the media.
"To make his debut in Round 6 was a well-deserved reward, and we're excited to see how he continues to develop. He's a talented outside back who understands what it means to represent this club, and we're pleased to have him locked in for 2027 as part of the Top 30."
In his first two games in the NRL, Nanva has demonstrated his potential with five tackle breaks and an average of 110 running meters per game.
This weekend, he has been named on the reserves bench for the matchup against Manly, with Sean Russell returning to the starting lineup.
