As they prepare for the future under coach Jason Ryles, the Parramatta Eels have opted to retain a young winger who made his NRL debut in the 2023 season.
This retention is reportedly structured as an NSWRL (NSW Cup) deal.
The winger, Miller-Stephen, is the nephew of former North Queensland Cowboys player Marshall Miller. Throughout his career, Miller-Stephen has faced significant injuries but showcased his talent by debuting in Round 23 of the 2023 season against the St George Illawarra Dragons.
At just 22 years old, he is at the beginning of his career and will aim to impress club officials in the upcoming season to increase his top-level appearances.
In addition to Miller-Stephen, the Eels have also retained Patrick Spence, Max Tupou, and Meni Luke, who have been engaged in the club's pathway competitions, including the NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup.
Spence, an Eels junior, is known for his versatility across various positions but has primarily been utilized as a dummy-half in recent seasons.
Luke, who also plays as a hooker, has made a total of 44 appearances in the NSW Cup, with 11 of those occurring in this year's season, while Tupou is a back-rower.
