Eels' Moses eyes miracle comeback after foot setback

Eels star eyes shock early return

Parramatta Eels player Mitchell Moses is aiming for a sooner-than-expected return from injury, much to the delight of rookie coach Jason Ryles.

Moses has been sidelined this season with a stress reaction in his left foot but has been making progress in his recovery.

The Eels are considering the possibility of Moses returning as early as round seven, ahead of the anticipated round nine comeback.

Eels chief executive Jim Sarantinos stated, "As it stands, I think Mitch is definitely on track to return for round nine.

But subject to how the next couple of weeks go, there may be an outside chance of round seven."

Moses has already begun on-field running and is showing promising signs of improvement, raising hopes for an early comeback.

Despite being ruled out for the upcoming game against the Raiders, the longer turnaround before Easter Monday gives Moses additional time to prepare for a potential return in round seven.

The Eels will carefully assess the risks involved, especially with a bye in round eight before a crucial clash with the Sharks on May 2.

The news of Moses' potential early return is a significant boost for the Eels, who are coming off a win last weekend under the guidance of coach Ryles.

The team will closely monitor Moses' progress in the coming weeks to determine if he is ready to make his comeback ahead of schedule.

Gaining their skipper back on the field earlier than expected would undoubtedly provide a morale lift for the Eels as they gear up for upcoming matches.
