The Parramatta Eels have partnered with Surfing Australia to launch an initiative aimed at teaching essential water safety skills to students in western Sydney as part of the Parra Eels Play program.

Reports from nrl.com.au highlight that children from Rydalmere Public School and St.

Oliver's Primary School in Harris Park participated in the program, which included interactions with Eels players Luca Moretti and Joey Lussick, as well as two-time surfing world champion Tom Carroll.

Joey Lussick emphasized the importance of water access for all children: "It's important all children have access to the water, no matter where they live." The program offered 25 students aged 6-11 the opportunity to attend six free sessions at the URBNSURF facility in Sydney Olympic Park during the school holidays.

Through the initiative, the students not only learned to surf but also gained confidence in the water, equipping them with vital skills to support a healthy, active lifestyle.
