The Eels Junior Representative teams had a successful weekend, winning three out of four games and putting themselves in a good position for finals football with just two rounds to go.

The SG Ball team remained undefeated with a strong victory over the Wests Magpies, while the Harold Matthews team also secured a win with a remarkable defensive effort.

The Lisa Fiaola and Tarsha Gale teams had mixed success against the Wests Tigers, with the Gale side returning to the winners list but the Lisa Fiaola team suffering their first loss of the season.

The Eels Harold Matthews Cup team showed great resilience in their match against the Magpies, with Christopher Moala scoring the opening try with a dynamic run near the corner post.

Despite coming close to adding a second try, the Eels had to rely on their solid defensive game to keep the Magpies at bay.

The team's coach, Peter Gleeson, praised their efforts, stating "It was a terrific defensive effort against a very strong and physical side which helped us lay a platform to win the game."

The SG Ball Cup team also put in a dominant performance against the Wests Magpies, maintaining their undefeated record with another convincing win.

Coach Brett Cook highlighted the team's ability to control the game, saying "I thought the forwards led the way and the control of the game was outstanding.

It was another step forward in the progression as a team." With their sights set on finals football, the Eels Junior Reps will be looking to continue their winning momentum in the remaining rounds of the competition.

Overall, the Eels Junior Reps have shown strength and determination in their recent games, setting themselves up as strong contenders for the finals.

With a mix of experienced players and rising talents, the teams are well placed to make a strong push in the upcoming finals series.

Assistant coach Luke Burt expressed his confidence in the team, stating "We have a good balance in the group and they are all working hard for each other.

If we can continue to build on the recent performances, I'm confident we can do well in the finals."
