Eels in shock as Moses eyes new horizon

Star State of Origin player Mitchell Moses, who recently shone for the NSW Blues in the 2024 series, is causing a stir with rumors of a potential departure from the Parramatta Eels.

While Moses is tied to the Eels until the end of 2028, his contract includes various player options that could see him exploring opportunities with rival teams as soon as November 1, 2026, with the possibility of leaving in the 2027 NRL season.

Speculation about Moses' exit has surfaced following the departure of rising talent Blaize Talagi, who will be moving to a new club next season along with his SG Ball Cup premiership-winning teammates Ethan Sanders and Matt Arthur.

As key young players leave the club at the end of the season, Fox Sports' James Hooper has hinted that Moses may not see out his contract with the Eels as he strives to secure his first NRL premiership.

"I reckon Mitchell Moses won't stick around at Parramatta given the turmoil the team is currently facing," Hooper shared on Triple M's Sunday Sin Bin.
