The Parramatta Eels have confirmed that winger Josh Addo-Carr will stay with the club until at least the end of the 2027 NRL season, following his victory in the Ashes Series against England with the Australian team.
Addo-Carr was already contracted for the upcoming season but has now extended his deal by an additional year. He aims to help restore the club's success alongside head coach Jason Ryles in the forthcoming seasons.
Having joined the Eels at the beginning of this year after his time with the Canterbury Bulldogs, Addo-Carr has successfully regained the form that once made him a standout player in the NRL.
"I absolutely love this Club. Everyone here from the coaches to the players, management and admin staff, and of course the incredible fans have made Parramatta feel like home from the moment I arrived," he expressed.
"Rylesy and the coaching staff have helped me become the player I always wanted to be, both on and off the field.
"I'm grateful for their belief in me and I'm excited for what we're building together," he added.
Throughout this season, Addo-Carr featured in 22 matches, scoring 19 tries, and accumulating 3,273 metres-with an average of 148 metres per match. Additionally, he recorded a top speed exceeding 36.5 km/h, solidifying his status as one of the fastest players in the league.
