The Parramatta Eels have unveiled their 2025 Indigenous Jersey, celebrating both the club's 60-year history and the rich cultural narrative of the Burramattagal people of the Dharug Nation.

This jersey serves as "a powerful tribute to culture, connection, and continuity," integrating a significant story that honors the past, present, and future.

The design, created by artist Sean Duncan-Kinchela, reflects the Burramattagal's deep ties to the Parramatta River and the eel's journey.

The eel symbolizes resilience and adaptability, paralleling the club's journey through diverse challenges over generations.

The jersey features flowing patterns representing the Parramatta River, interwoven with traditional designs, proudly displaying the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags.

In essence, the 2025 Indigenous Jersey is not just about the Eels' identity but also about recognising and celebrating the enduring significance of the eel to the Burramattagal people, thereby weaving together sports and cultural heritage.
