Ryles Hints at Eels' Interest in Luai

Parramatta Eels coach Jason Ryles has been somewhat elusive regarding the rumors connecting his team to dynamic five-eighth Jarome Luai, who recently received a release from the remaining year of his $1.2 million deal with the Wests Tigers.

While Ryles didn't outright confirm any interest from the Eels, he acknowledged that discussions about Luai's situation would occur within the club.

The talks come as speculation surrounding Luai intensifies, especially with the Perth Bears reportedly poised to make a last-minute offer.

"I will go back and talk to the people that I need to at the club and we'll make a decision going forward," Ryles stated after the team's defeat against the Roosters on Saturday evening.

"But for me, tonight's about the game and not so much about recruitment, so I'll address that if and when we need to."
