The latest from penrithpanthers.com.au reveals that Dylan Edwards, the Panthers' fullback, has made a significant move by joining Nicho Hynes at the top of the Dally M leaderboard.

Edwards put on a stellar performance in Round 9, helping Penrith secure a dominant victory over the Rabbitohs.

With an outstanding display that earned him three points in the 42-12 triumph, Edwards racked up an impressive 200 meters in runs, six tackle breaks, two linebreaks, a try assist, and converted all six goal attempts.

This exceptional performance, described as a real "barnstormer" by fans, helped to fill the void left by Nathan Cleary.

Edwards' recent streak of great form has seen him accumulate 12 points in the last three weeks, scoring five points in Round 7 and four points in Round 8, in addition to this week's three-point effort.

This places him level with Hynes at the top of the Dally M leaderboard, with both players on 24 points and leading the charge.

Close behind them is Bulldogs forward Viliame Kikau, sitting on 23 points after securing five points in his team's victory over the Wests Tigers.

The race for the prestigious Dally M award is now heating up, with New South Wales hopefuls battling it out for top honors.

In Round 9, only four players managed to secure the maximum six points.

Isaah Yeo of the Panthers, Elliott Whitehead of the Raiders, James Tedesco of the Roosters, and Jackson Hastings of the Knights all delivered stellar performances in their respective matches, earning high praise from fans and pundits alike.

Despite the Titans suffering a loss to the Storm, AJ Brimson managed to pick up five points for his standout display.

In the Sharks-Dragons showdown, six players shared the points, with Cameron McInnes and Teig Wilton both earning three points each, while Hynes, Atkinson, Iro, and Hunt all contributed to the scoresheet.

As the season progresses, the competition for the Dally M award is sure to intensify, with players pushing themselves to new heights to claim the coveted title.

Fans can expect more thrilling moments and standout performances as the race for glory continues to unfold on the Rugby League field.
