The Manly Sea Eagles have made a significant move in their roster development by signing rising Queensland star Innocent Baruani to a three-year deal.
This contract is part of their strategy to reshape their team for the upcoming seasons, and Baruani is set to transition into a full-time role with the NRL squad during the final two years.
Currently in Year 11 at Ipswich State High School, he began his journey with the Goodna Eagles and has always looked up to rugby legend Johnathan Thurston.
Baruani has been influenced by his three older brothers-Kulu, Munga, and Volonte-who introduced him to the sport and set a high standard for him.
He has established himself as a leader both on and off the field, crediting his success to the unwavering support of his mother, Wuni.
In a 2024 interview with Quest News, he noted, "I have improved a lot not just as a player but as a person."
This signing marks a strategic bet for the Sea Eagles as they focus on nurturing young talent and building a competitive team for the future.
