In Round 14 of the Jersey Flegg Cup, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles secured a hard-fought 24-18 victory against the Newcastle Knights.

Despite Newcastle's attempts to rally in the second half, their scoring was curtailed by Manly's relentless defense, limiting them to just two tries.

The Sea Eagles maintained the lead for most of the match, with a critical try in the 59th minute sealing their win and clinching two valuable competition points.

The Sea Eagles opened the scoring just one minute in, as a deflected kick allowed Benjamin O'Keefe to race down the right sideline for a try, putting them ahead 6-0.

The Knights responded quickly; nine minutes later, Marcus Dacre found the left corner after a well-timed pass, leveling the score at 6-all.

The momentum continued to ebb and flow until Manly regained the advantage in the 22nd minute, when forward Simione Laiafi powered through defenders to score under the posts, establishing a 12-6 lead.

Manly's consistent pressure throughout the match was key to their victory, exemplifying a strong team effort and strategic play.
