The Manly Sea Eagles are reportedly close to securing new contracts for the Trbojevic brothers, Jake and Tom, as they brace for the departure of skipper and halfback Daly Cherry-Evans.
According to reports from zerotackle.com, Cherry-Evans will leave the club at the end of 2025, almost confirmed to join the Sydney Roosters on a one-year contract.
Amid this transition, positive news is emerging for the Northern Beaches team.
Both Jake and Tom Trbojevic are set to finalize new deals since they will be free to negotiate with other teams starting November 1.
Their current contracts expire at the end of the 2026 NRL season.
Negotiations began in June, and the brothers are nearing agreements that aim to keep them with the Sea Eagles until the end of the 2027 and 2028 seasons, respectively, as reported by News Corp.
Tom is expected to receive a multi-year extension, while Jake, a former captain of the NSW Blues who helped secure the 2024 State of Origin series victory, is likely to receive only a 12-month extension.
There are indications that Jake may retire from professional play soon.
