The Eagles are flying high as the 12 Betfred Super League clubs gear up for the Challenge Cup showdowns this week.
Four sides from the Betfred Championship have also proved their mettle to reach this stage, adding an extra layer of grit and determination to the mix.
The draw for the quarter-finals looms large on Monday, setting the stage for some epic battles ahead.
As the sixth round kicks off, one storyline that stands out is the clash between Sheffield Eagles and Wigan Warriors.
Back in 1998, Sheffield pulled off what many consider to be the greatest upset in Challenge Cup history by defeating Wigan 17-8 at Wembley.
Fast forward to today, and Wigan ride high as reigning Super League champions and recent winners of the World Club Challenge.
Meanwhile, Sheffield has faced their fair share of ups and downs, including a stint in the lower divisions after a turbulent merger and rebirth.
Mark Aston, the hero of that historic final, now leads the Eagles from the sidelines as head coach.
His son Cory, a key player at half-back, carries on the family legacy with dreams of an even more remarkable upset.
Reflecting on the glory days of '98, Cory recalls the iconic moments and the possibility of creating new memories with his own family in tow.
"I may not remember much from '98, but the stories have been a huge part of my life.
If we can pull off the impossible, it would be a special moment to recreate those memories with my own son by my side," Cory mused.
With the spirit of history and the fire of the underdog burning bright, the stage is set for a thrilling display of skill, heart, and pure Aussie grit as the Eagles dare to dream of a glorious upset once more.
