The Penrith Panthers faced a disappointing defeat, losing 26-10 to the Manly Sea Eagles at CommBank Stadium on Saturday.

The team struggled in the first half, trailing 14-0 at the break.

However, they showed signs of a comeback early in the second half with tries from Blaize Talagi and Izack Tago, narrowing the gap.

Despite their effort, the Panthers were hindered by penalties, errors, and two players being sin-binned, which ultimately cost them the game.

Manly capitalized on their right edge for two first-half tries, with Reuben Garrick scoring the opener and Tommy Talau adding another in the corner.

Garrick successfully converted both tries and added a penalty goal following multiple infractions by the Panthers.

Scott Sorensen faced a controversial sin-binning late in the first half for alleged high contact on Nathan Brown, impacting the Panthers' momentum.
