NSW Cup Team List: Cleary, Hanson named in halves

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

Jett Cleary and Luke Hanson have been chosen to partner in the halves for the New Zealand Warriors' NSW Cup team in their upcoming match against St George Illawarra.

This will be the first time they will be playing together in this capacity, with Hanson previously alternating between the NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup teams, while Cleary has primarily been playing in the Flegg competition.

The reason for this pairing is due to Tanah Boyd and Te Maire Martin being selected for the NRL squad, leaving vacancies in the NSW Cup team.

Cleary and Hanson have been pushed up for this game as a result.

The team has also seen changes elsewhere due to injury and suspension, with Edward Kosi moving back to the NRL side and William Fakatoumafi taking his place on the wing.

Morgan Harper is also back from suspension and will be playing in the centres for the Warriors.

The NSW Cup team is currently leading the competition, while the Dragons are in third place.

The game is set to kick off at 4:45pm at Go Media Stadium.

"The flow-on effect of injury and suspension has also seen a change on the wing with Edward Kosi going back into the NRL side.

William Fakatoumafi takes his spot with Morgan Harper back from suspension slotting into the centres."
