Dylan Walker has been released from the New Zealand Warriors on compassionate grounds to allow him to return to Sydney.
The 30-year-old was in the second year of a three-year contract with the Warriors and was a key player in the team's rotation.
Despite hoping Walker would remain until the end of the season, the Warriors chose to support his personal circumstances.
CEO Cameron George stated, "We were keen for Dylan to stay until the end of the season but we appreciate why he needs to return to Sydney." Walker has now joined the Parramatta Eels, effective immediately.
