According to reports from warriors.kiwi, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Gayle Broughton are set to return in Māori colors for the eighth installment of the annual All Stars event at FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton, scheduled for Sunday, February 15.
Watene-Zelezniak, a winger for NZ Warriors and Hamilton native, alongside the highly anticipated 2026 NRLW signing Broughton, have been confirmed ahead of the expected announcement of the complete Māori and Indigenous All Stars teams later today.
This will mark Watene-Zelezniak's first appearance in the Māori side since he scored a try during a 10-10 draw five years ago. He will join the Māori men's All Stars captain, Fisher-Harris, whose selection was publicized on Tuesday night.
Broughton, who has transitioned from the championship-winning Brisbane Broncos to the Warriors, excelled in her previous All Stars appearance in 2023. During that event, she earned the player of the match title in the women's 16-12 win over the Australian Indigenous team in Rotorua.
Additional players announced for the men's squad include Kiwi and Penrith centre Casey McLean. For the women's team, Newcastle's Tenika Willison has been added alongside Broughton and Parramatta's Kennedy Cherrington.
Following the announcement of Nicho Hynes on Tuesday, Jack Wighton from South Sydney and Josh Addo-Carr from Parramatta have been confirmed to start for the men's Indigenous team. Taliah Fuimaono (St George Illawarra) and Jada Taylor (Cronulla Sutherland) have also been booked as early selections for the Indigenous women's side.
