Friday night will be a special occasion for two young rugby league players, Kit Laulilii and Josh Feledy, as they make their NRL debuts.

Laulilii, who has come through the Wests Tigers pathways as a junior, first started his journey with the Liverpool Catholic Club Raiders at the age of five.

He was even the captain of the Magpies team last year, leading them to an undefeated season and claiming the Harold Matthews Cup premiership.

Laulilii's achievement of making it to the NRL follows in the footsteps of Tallyn Da Silva, who was also a part of the undefeated Magpies team.

Born in 2005, Laulilii coincidentally shares the same birth year as the Wests Tigers' maiden premiership win.

It wasn't until he reached his early teens that Laulilii realized that he had the potential to make it to the big leagues.
