The St George District Junior Rugby League is celebrating a remarkable achievement, reporting record junior registration numbers for the season.
A total of 1,776 players have signed up, marking a 14.2% increase compared to 2024, with registration open until June 30.
A notable driver of this growth is the significant rise in participation among younger age groups, specifically Under 6 to Under 10, and an increase in female players.
Registrations for players aged 6-10 soared from 399 to 541, representing a 35.6% increase, while female registrations surged by 29% year-to-date.
This initiative was made possible through the generous investment from St George Leagues Club, in collaboration with St George District Junior Rugby League and St George District Rugby League.
