The St George Illawarra Dragons have upgraded and extended the contract of debutant centre and second-rower Nick Tsougranis.
According to reports from zerotackle.com, Tsougranis, a former Australian Schoolboy, made his debut against the Cronulla Sharks in Round 15 and is expected to feature again soon due to the team's significant injury woes following their recent match against the Parramatta Eels.
Previously on a development deal, Tsougranis had not secured a contract with the Dragons beyond this year, but the club has now confirmed his promotion to the Top 30 for the rest of 2025, with an extension through 2027.
As a versatile player capable of filling both positions, he is well-regarded by Dragons officials and has advanced through the club's junior pathways.
Coach Shane Flanagan praised Tsougranis, stating, "Nick is an exciting young prospect as well as an outstanding young man and a local junior who came through the St George pathways."
