Dragons Lower Grades Wrap: Round 8

The Dragons Lower Grades Wrap for Round 8 is in, and it's a real ripper of a report for fans of the Red V.

The weekend saw some top-notch action in both the 2024 Knock-On Effect NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup, with some standout performances to boot.

The visitors got off to a cracking start, scoring first through centre Ethan Clark-Wood who plucked a high ball out of the sky to dot down and make it a four-pointer just 10 minutes in.

But the Red V weren't about to let them run away with it.

Speedy winger Savelio Tamale, on a hot streak of try-scoring form, struck back for the Dragons.

After a slick offload from Ryan Couchman found its way out to him thanks to a crafty bat-on from Josh Ralph, Tamale put on the afterburners, leaving his defenders in his dust with some fancy footwork before touching down behind the posts.

Not content with just one, Tamale went on to bag his second try of the match.

A clever offload from Jesse Marschke on the fifth tackle created space on the left edge, and Couchman delivered a pinpoint pass to the winger to increase the Dragons' lead.

The dynamic duo of Marschke and Ralph combined once again before halftime, with Marschke setting up a neat grubber for Ralph to swoop in and score.

The Dragons were firing on all cylinders, with their attacking prowess on full display.

Overall, it was a top effort from the Dragons Lower Grades in Round 8, showing plenty of grit and determination on the field.

Fans will no doubt be chuffed with the performances on show and eager for more in the weeks to come.
