The St George Illawarra Dragons have successfully executed a strategic poaching of talent from the Penrith Panthers, having previously acquired Conrelius and Alexander Pupualii, and now securing the young promising player David Fale.
David Fale made his debut against the Canterbury Bulldogs in Round 26 and has showcased significant potential, which he is eager to further develop with the Dragons.
According to a report by The Daily Telegraph, Fale entered a cooling-off period with the Panthers in September, and officially signed with the Dragons last week.
"Signed on Tuesday, I'm pretty excited," Fale expressed regarding his new contract.
When inquired about the plans the Dragons have for him, Fale mentioned there's no immediate pressure to jump into NRL play. Nevertheless, he is focused on pursuing that goal.
"[The Dragons] want me to come in and fight for that wing spot next year, and obviously just build from there," he explained.
Fale indicated that while his aspirations for securing a regular spot are set for 2027, he remains determined to establish himself as a mainstay next year. "Hopefully, the year after [in 2027], they want me to be a regular; but for me, I want to [be a regular] next year, and make that wing spot mine," he stated.
