The Dragons website, dragons.com.au, has reported that the St.

George Illawarra Dragons secured a convincing 38-12 victory over the Parramatta Eels at WIN Stadium on Saturday.

The Dragons started off strong, with debutant Margot Vella scoring her first NRLW career try just two minutes into the game.

The team continued to dominate, with Cortez Te Pou also scoring two aerial tries before halftime, giving the Dragons a comfortable 20-4 lead.

In the second half, Vella and Teagan Berry each scored their second tries of the game, while Roxy Murdoch and Tyla Nathan-Wong also joined in on the scoring.

The Dragons' impressive performance resulted in a total of eight tries, compared to the Eels' three.

The Dragons wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard, as Tyla Nathan-Wong's accurate pass found Vella, who skillfully crossed the try line in the left corner.

The Eels fought back with a try from Cassey Tohi-Hiku, but their momentum was halted by the Dragons' strong defensive efforts.
