Young forward Ryan Couchman from the St George Illawarra Dragons suffered an ACL injury during a match against the Canterbury Bulldogs, ruling him out for the rest of the 2025 NRL season.
This injury comes as a blow to the Dragons who are already missing Francis Molo.
Coach Shane Flanagan expressed his disappointment, stating, "This is a really unfortunate injury for Ryan coming just a few minutes into his 2025 season." Couchman will undergo surgery and start the rehabilitation process in hopes of returning for the 2026 NRL season.
The Dragons will now have to find ways to cope with the loss of another key player on the field.
