Dragons' lower grades shine in Round 23 matches

Dragons Lower Grades Wrap: Round 23

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Dragons Lower Grades had a ripper weekend, mate, with some top results in the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, and Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership competitions.

It was a real corker of a game for Ben Woolf's squad, who snagged their second crucial win in a row after knocking off the ladder-leading Bears last week.

With five wins out of their last six games, the Dragons are champing at the bit and sitting just one win away from a spot in the finals with three matches left to play.

Logan Lemusu was the hero, scoring to break the deadlock and put the visiting side up 12-4 as they entered the final half-hour of play.

Regan scored to kickstart the Red V fightback, and then Breanna Wood crossed to give the hosts their first lead of the match after an hour of play.

Regan wasn't done yet, finding her second try in the dying stages to seal the deal on a crackin' Dragons win.

The team is really hitting their stride and showing some true grit out on the field.

With performances like these, they're sure to be a force to be reckoned with as they push towards the finals.
