The St George Illawarra Dragons are diligently working on revitalizing their culture and operations, taking significant strides this week.
Ben Creagh, a celebrated premiership winner with the Dragons, has resigned from his position on the club's board to assume a senior management role as the new Chief Operating Officer, as reported by the Daily Telegraph.
This appointment is part of a broader front-office overhaul initiated by CEO Tim Watsford, who has been reshaping the club's leadership since his arrival in June.
Creagh, a member of the 2010 premiership team and the club's second-most capped player, joined the board in 2022 and has been a vital figure within the organization.
In his role as COO, he will manage all football operations, including elite facilities like the upcoming high-performance center, while also coordinating community and stakeholder engagement.
"Ben is one of the club's greats," Watsford stated in the Daily Telegraph.
"His deep passion for the Dragons, football credentials and leadership experience will be invaluable in ensuring continuous improvement across all areas of football and club operations."
