Dragons facing tough battle to secure future star's signature

The St George Illawarra Dragons are facing a battle to retain the promising talent of Lyhkan King-Togia beyond the 2025 NRL season.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, the young five-eighth, who burst onto the scene under the guidance of coach Shane Flanagan in 2024, is yet to commit his future to the Dragons.

After starting the year in junior ranks, King-Togia quickly made his mark in the NSW Cup before making a seamless transition to first-grade football, impressing at every level along the way.

Despite having an offer on the table from the Dragons, News Corp reports that the talented player has not yet put pen to paper for the upcoming seasons.

With a shortage of quality halves options in the market, King-Togia is sure to attract attention from rival clubs keen to secure his services for the 2026 campaign.

The Dragons will need to dig deep and fight hard to secure the young playmaker's future in the red and white jersey.
