In a thrilling Rugby League showdown at WIN Stadium, the Dragons came agonizingly close to an impressive victory against the Melbourne Storm, but fell short with a 38-28 defeat.

The hosts started strong, responding to an early try by William Warbrick with three of their own from Billy Burns, Tyrell Sloan, and Junior Amone, giving them an 18-4 lead.

However, the visitors fought back with their own attacking prowess, as Warbrick scored two more tries and Xavier Coates joined in just before halftime.

The second half was action-packed, with Burns scoring another try and Eliesa Katoa securing a double of his own.

A late try by Mikaele Ravalawa in the 73rd minute brought the Dragons within two points, but their comeback fell short when Jahrome Hughes crossed the tryline to seal the victory for Craig Bellamy's men.

The game started with an early error by the Dragons, allowing the Storm to capitalize and Warbrick to score his first try, making it 4-0 in favor of the visitors.
