In a disappointing final outing for the Dragons Knock On Effect Cup squad in 2023, they suffered a 42-12 loss to the Warriors at Ziems Park in Corrimal.

The former-Dragon Brayden Wiliame got the visitors on the board first, but the Dragons quickly answered with a try from Zach Herring, giving them an early lead.

However, the Warriors soon took control of the game, scoring a trio of tries in just 13 minutes.

Kalani Going, Taine Tuaupiki, and Ben Farr all found the tryline, boosting the Warriors to a 20-6 lead at halftime.

The second half started with Wiliame grabbing his second try, extending the Warriors' lead.

The Dragons weren't ready to give up, though, as Treigh Stewart managed to cross the tryline, bringing some hope for a comeback.

However, Going snared his second try of the game, further solidifying the Warriors' dominance.

In the closing stages of the match, Ronald Volkman and Paul Roache added to the Warriors' try-scorers party, sealing a comprehensive victory for the visitors.

Meanwhile, the Dragons Jersey Flegg side had a bye in the final round, giving them a week off before their next game.

As the season comes to a close, both teams will reflect on their performances and look to regroup for the next season.

The Dragons Knock On Effect Cup squad will be disappointed with their final result, but they will use this experience as motivation to come back stronger next year.

On the other hand, the Jersey Flegg side will use the bye to rest and prepare for their upcoming matches, aiming to finish the season on a high note.
