The St George Illawarra Dragons are diligently working to enhance their image and focus on achieving success.
This renewed vision is demonstrated by their latest initiative, as they announce the upcoming Community & High Performance Centre, which will be named The Bruce Gordon Centre. This dedication honors the club's major shareholder and long-standing supporter.
Scheduled to open in 2026, this cutting-edge facility will be situated at the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus, functioning as a key center for the club's elite pathways, community programs, and administrative functions.
Bruce Gordon, who became a Dragons Life Member in 2024, has played a pivotal role in the club's development and stability over many years.
His significant contributions have been acknowledged by Dragons Chair Andrew Lancaster, who expressed enthusiasm in a club statement.
"It is a privilege for the Dragons to recognise Bruce for the support he has given the Dragons, Rugby League, and the Illawarra Region over the past five decades," he stated.
"Bruce's passion for rugby league and commitment to the Dragons' regions has been unwavering."
