Dragons Halves: Carpooling, Coffee, Country Music

Car-pooling, coffee and country music: The key to Dragons halves

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Dragons players Daniel Atkinson and Kyle Flanagan have been car-pooling from the Shire to Wollongong almost daily this summer. Their 90-minute round trips, filled with chats about life, rugby league, coffee, and country music, are expected to significantly influence St George Illawarra's chances in the NRL finals.

Atkinson expressed that commuting with Flanagan has been advantageous, helping to quickly develop their on-field chemistry as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Just as Sydney Roosters fans are hoping for a strong connection between Daly Cherry-Evans and Sam Walker, Dragons supporters are looking forward to Atkinson and Flanagan forming a solid partnership.

"If you know each other off the field, it always reflects on the field," stated Atkinson, who recently moved from the Shire to the South Coast.
