Shane Flanagan is gearing up to shake up the Dragons' right edge combination from the lower leagues, as debutants are set to make their mark at the Panthers and Cowboys.

According to reports from news.com.au, St George Illawarra coach Shane Flanagan is getting ready to promote the Dragons' right edge combination from reserve grade to the NRL squad for their upcoming clash against Penrith on Saturday.

Young gun winger Sione Finau is poised to step up and fill in for Zac Lomax, who is away on NSW origin duties, on the wing.

Finau made a strong impression in the NSW Cup last week, scoring three tries and racking up over 200 metres.

Although Finau made his NRL debut towards the end of last year against the Warriors, his promising start was cut short by a serious ankle injury.

However, now he is back and ready to make his mark in the top flight.

In addition to Finau, his NSW Cup teammate Max Feagai is expected to be named to replace Jack Bird, who is facing an extended period on the sidelines due to an ankle injury.
