Dragons' flames fizzle as Tigers claw to victory

Jersey Flegg Cup: Dragons fall to fast finishing Wests Tigers

The Dragons Jersey Flegg team faced a tough battle against the Wests Tigers at Lidcombe Oval, ultimately falling short in a 31-22 defeat.

The game started off hot for the Dragons, who were in control in the first half and even managed a superb try from Khye Russell right before the siren, giving them a 22-4 lead.

However, the tide quickly turned in the second half as the Wests Tigers capitalized on errors from the Dragons, scoring five tries in less than 25 minutes to secure the win.

The Dragons' defense put up a good fight, forcing errors and creating opportunities for themselves, including a slick scrum play that saw Cain Barnes score in the left corner.

Despite efforts from No.7 Ashton Ward, who nailed a difficult conversion, and a try of his own off a well-placed kick from his partner Nick Quinn, the Dragons couldn't hold off the fast-finishing Tigers.

It was a tough loss for the Dragons, but they'll regroup and come back stronger in their next match, drawing on their resilience and determination to succeed in the tough world of Rugby League.
