The Dragons NRLW squad emerged triumphant with a remarkable 20-16 victory over the Wests Tigers at CommBank Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as reported by dragons.com.au.

The thrilling match was sealed by a last-minute try from Margot Vella.

In the first half, the Dragons scored three tries, giving them a 16-6 lead at halftime.

However, Ella Koster responded with her first NRLW try for the Tigers after Wests Tigers lock Najvada George was sent to the sin bin.

With three minutes remaining, Zali Hopkins scored to level the score for the Dragons.

In the dying moments of the game, Vella added another try to secure the Dragons' special win.

The Wests Tigers opened the scoring through Ebony Prior, who dove over from dummy-half after a quick play-the-ball by Kezie Apps.

Pauline Piliae-Rasabale successfully converted the try, giving the hosts an early 6-0 advantage.

A penalty allowed the Wests Tigers to extend their lead when Rikeya Horne finished off a right-side shift orchestrated by Botille Vette-Welsh.

Dragons captain Raecene McGregor displayed her defensive prowess by dislodging the ball from Apps' grip with a textbook tackle, thwarting a Wests Tigers raid.
