Dragons Fall to Sea Eagles, Still Winless

Manly survive Dragons fightback to claim victory at WIN

The St George Illawarra Dragons remain winless this season after their 28-18 loss to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at WIN Stadium.

Sea Eagles winger Reuben Garrick opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a dive following a bat back from Jason Saab.

Tom Trbojevic extended the lead to 10-0 with a try on the right edge just 15 minutes into the game.

A long-range breakaway from Garrick shortly after the kick-off solidified the Dragons' struggles, pushing the score to 16-0.

In a show of resilience, the Dragons sparked to life, with Luciano Leilua sneaking in a try from a penalty tap before half-time.

Jacob Liddle intensified the game from the bench, scoring soon after, bringing excitement just before the break.

In a dramatic twist, Setu Tu almost tied the match in the half's final seconds, but he dropped the ball while attempting to score.

Four minutes into the second half, Tu redeemed himself by scoring, giving the Dragons a brief lead at 18-16.

However, Kobe Hetherington quickly regained the lead for Manly in the 54th minute.

A late try from Lehi Hopoate secured a ten-point advantage, sealing the victory for the Sea Eagles.
