The St. George Illawarra Dragons have announced a significant decision today, showcasing their confidence in the club's future direction.
Shane Flanagan, the team's head coach, has signed an extension to remain in Kogarah until 2028, as reported by The Daily Telegraph.
This premiership-winning coach has secured a two-year contract with the Dragons, effectively dismissing interest from rival teams that may have been considering the soon-to-be free agent.
"I'm super excited about what lies ahead," Flanagan expressed after the announcement.
He noted that the agreement was reached promptly, with discussions commencing only a week prior to its finalization.
"They know I love the place and want to be here long term. So it was a very easy negotiation between two parties that didn't want to change anything," Flanagan stated.
