In a thrilling NRLW match at CommBank Stadium on Saturday, the St.
George Illawarra Dragons secured a memorable 20-16 victory over the Wests Tigers.
The Dragons' triumph came thanks to two tries in the final three minutes of the game.
Zali Hopkins leveled the scores in the 68th minute before Margot Vella scored the match-winning try with just 30 seconds remaining.
This win marked the Dragons' second victory of the season.
It was the Wests Tigers who struck first, with dummy-half Ebony Prior crossing the try line from close range.
Pauline Piliae-Rasabale successfully converted the try, giving the Tigers a 6-0 lead.
The Tigers extended their advantage when Rikeya Horne crashed over for a try after a powerful run.
This gave Brett Kimmorley's team a 10-point lead.
However, the Dragons responded through Bobbi Law, who scored off a lofted pass from Tyla Nathan-Wong.
Raecene McGregor successfully added the extra points, narrowing the Tigers' lead to 10-6.
Kezie Apps then scored for the Dragons, bringing the score to 16-6 in favor of the home side at halftime.
