The Dragons players are not only excelling on the field but also off it, as they balance football with their academic pursuits.

The club's partnership with the University of Wollongong has allowed 17 players to pursue higher education while continuing their sporting careers.

The upcoming Community and High Performance Centre at UOW's Innovation Campus will further strengthen this collaboration.

Some of the players currently studying at UOW include Keele Browne, Jett Liu, and Lyhkan King-Togia.

Meanwhile, NRL squad members Lachlan Ilias and Nick Tsougranis are pursuing their studies at universities in Sydney.

For example, Liu is working towards a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Criminology, showcasing a commitment to both sports and academics.

The players are aware of the importance of education alongside their football careers, with Liu emphasizing, "I think it's important for all young athletes to invest time into their education as it provides a safety net." These players are setting a positive example for their teammates and fans, showing that success can be achieved both on and off the field.

The Dragons' commitment to supporting their players' academic endeavors is commendable and reflects a holistic approach to player development.

This investment in education not only benefits the players individually but also strengthens the partnership between the club and the university.

As Dragons General Manager of Football Ben Haran notes, "We're really proud of the players who are taking on university studies while also pursuing their rugby league goals." This dual focus on education and sport sets these players apart and prepares them for success beyond their playing careers.

Overall, the Dragons players are demonstrating ambition, determination, and dedication as they strive for success both on and off the field.

Their commitment to furthering their careers through education is a testament to their character and the culture of the club.
