In Round 5 of the NSWRL competitions, the St George Dragons, Illawarra Steelers, and Illawarra South Coast Dragons junior representative sides battled it out on the rugby league field.

The weekend was packed with action and excitement for these teams.

The Dragons' pathways wrap on dragons.com.au revealed some thrilling results.

The Steelers Tarsha Gale Cup unit emerged victorious in their top-of-the-table showdown, proving their dominance on the field.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for the Steelers SG Ball Cup squad as they suffered their first defeat of the year at the foot of the mountains.

The Dragons men's sides capitalized on their Victorian road trip, utilizing their skills and teamwork to secure important wins.

One standout moment came from Peckham-Harris, who displayed tremendous speed and agility to score a try down the right-hand corridor.

The Dragons' lead seemed unassailable until Chase Paterson's try on the stroke of halftime cut it back to just four points.

Nonetheless, the Dragons showed their resilience, and with an hour in, prop Ryan Hutchinson powered his way through the defense to extend their lead.

It was a well-deserved victory for the Dragons, allowing them to catch their breath and secure a comfortable win.
